David qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the United Kingdom in 1982. Prior to returning to practice, he worked for several major American corporations in Europe.

Between 1986 and 2000, David was engaged in private practice in the United Kingdom.

In 2000 he was appointed as an adviser to Covestco and represents their interests as a board member in a number of corporations including AllConnect Inc, Arsenal Digital Solutions Inc, BuildLinks Inc, and MediaSpan Inc in the United States and Tridion Holding BV in the Netherlands.
