SafeHarbor names Annette M. Jacobs President and CEO
Seasoned Executive to Lead Company to Next Stage of Growth
Seattle, Wash., April 13, 2004 SafeHarbor Technology Corporation, a leading provider of customer support transformation solutions, today announced that it has named Annette M. Jacobs as its president and chief executive officer.
Jacobs' experience spans a strong record of results in high-growth businesses, primarily in service related industries. Her focus at SafeHarbor is to set the strategic growth course for the company.
Jacobs replaces Chad Waite, General Partner at OVP Ventures Partners, who has led the company for the past six months while the search for new leadership at SafeHarbor was underway. Waite will remain on the company's board.
Previous to SafeHarbor, Jacobs was president and corporate executive vice president of the $5 billion consumer markets group for Qwest Communications International, Inc. The business unit provides sales and service for the local telephone franchises in fourteen Western states, as well as wireless, cable, video, high speed Internet and long distance. Jacobs was instrumental in defining and leading the initiatives that improved customer service and retention. These were accomplished while significantly reducing operational expenses and improving sales practices.
"Annette is a recognized business leader and we are extremely fortunate to bring a person of her caliber to the team," said Waite. "Under Annette's leadership at Qwest Wireless, the division became a top ten domestic wireless carrier. We are confident in her ability to grow SafeHarbor."
"SafeHarbor can grow exponentially. We have the business process solutions that are critical for our clients to get their capital return for the multiple systems deployed in an enterprise environment. Our design services and analytics improve the users experience, increase activity completion and drives customer satisfaction to a higher level," said Jacobs. "Our team is also committed to maintaining our tradition of high touch customer partnerships."
With over 20 years experience in telecommunications, primarily in the wireless industry, Jacobs has held executive management and operational positions with Verizon Wireless, GTE Wireless, and Contel Cellular. At Verizon Wireless, she was the president for the Great Lakes area based in Chicago, Illinois. This $3 billion market area was at the time the largest within Verizon Wireless and comprised the five legacy companies which formed the company. Jacobs has been recognized for her leadership in the wireless industry and has been actively involved in various non-profit and industry board positions.
